To be pefectly honest I'm not a huge fan of truncated messaging and micro-blogging but I am on Twitter nonetheless. Its a necessary evil these days really. My logic there lies somewhere between "better the devil you know" and "if you're not in you can't win"...

I was born, a humble child, in Dublin, Ireland, in 1978. After the jubilant scenes on the streets had died down I was brought safely back to the family home on the Northside. It is on this side where I proudly remain to this day. I am carried by other Northsiders on a golden shield to work daily. Graciously they also allow my son, Naoise McDonnell (that's a name for the future, mark my words), to also ride in this triumphal procession, at least as far as his creche. In 2008 the city burghers bestowed a beautiful wife upon me, which was a nice thing for me but a great honour for Ciara.
